[She's still trying to determine whether this is wise, but the offer had been a saving grace for her. She wanted anything that could remove her from the mountains and the horrors of war. This may not be what her father intended for her with her life, but this life was her choice.

My name is Alice Munro and I am new to this ship. [Ship. That in itself would take time to grow used to. It wasn't like the ship that brought her to the colonies at all.]

Those that are wardens, if you would be so kind to offer me advice perhaps on those here assembled? I know why I am here, but I would like to be made aware of what I am in store for. I do not want to be caught unawares. Not again.

[She hesitates before addressing the inmates.]

Those that are imprisoned, if you also have any information about the ship itself, I should be grateful.

[He nods and comes up with a sensible route in his head. Lots of stairs. ]

That shouldn't be too hard. Let's get to the deck, I'll show you the Enclosure first. It's a bit complicated at first, but useful for when you need it.

[And he shall lead on.]

[She follows him, not really put off by the stairs. She climbed mountains only a few days before, she can manage this.]

This is kind of you to show me about.

[He waves his hand dismissively.]

Don't mention it. Someone showed me around when I first got here. It's a pretty big ship at first, but you get used to it.

After a time, I would imagine. It must be more enjoyable now that you are a warden, rather than an inmate.

[He thinks before rolling his shoulders with a shrug.]

Access to the pub is nice without requesting someone else allow you inside. But otherwise, it's not so different.

Was there a set schedule for inmates? A time they were expected back in their rooms?

Not that I know of. Time doesn't really matter here. I know with titles like inmate and warden it sounds like a prison, but this is nothing like any prison I've ever seen. If you want to give your inmate a curfew, you can. No one will stop you. But I'm not sure they'll be too happy with that.

[She shakes her head.]

I don't think it would be a good idea if it's not mandated by the admiral.

If this isn't a prison, what would you call it?

People usually just call it the barge. I mean, that is what it is.

[He stops before a door on the upper deck.]

Right so, this is the Enclosure. It's going to look really boring, but just wait and I'll show you what I mean.

[He'll open the door and gesture for her to go first. At first glance, it just looks like a stairwell going downward.]

[She steps inside, looking at the room, unimpressed thus far, but waiting as he told her. She glanced back at him, curious to see what exactly he had in store for her.]

Alright.

[He follows in after her and leads the way down the stairs.]

So, tell me about a place you would rather be than here. Actually, tell this wall.

[He points to what looks like a box on the side of the wall, granted it has far more gadgets and buttons on it. But a box is a box.]

[It took a minute for her to come up with an idea. There were so few places she would rather be. But in thinking about her mother, she could at least think of one place that made her feel safe.]

My mother's garden in London. It was beautiful. There were roses, lavender, lilies. The trees had apple blossoms and peaches. It was so beautiful.

[It takes a moment, but sure enough the room starts to reflect her described surrounding with the only thing missing being any people that may reside there.

Kylar smiles.]

Good choice, it looks nice.

[She stared in amazement, reaching out to try and touch the flowers. Her eyes met his, the smile warm and relieved. He had chosen the perfect means to help her feel comfortable.

Seeing this alone made her feel like she was home again.]

It was. I haven't seen it in years. My mother died long ago. This is my favorite place.

Well, so long as no one else is here, you can see it anytime you want.

[He pulls up some grass to show her the blades are still intact in his hand.]

You can't... make it show you people. But I think everything else is fair game.

This is more than I thought possible. [She plucked a lily, twirling it between her fingers. It was strange, but so thrilling and relaxing.]

This place can seem so frightening, but it creates such beauty. I like that.

[She glanced at him.]

What place would you want to see most in the world?

[He thinks a while before giving a simple shrug.]

Don't know. I just got back here. Not too homesick yet.

May I ask...where is home?

I'm from Cenaria. Ever heard of it? Most here haven't. Actually, pretty sure no one has.

I haven't, but I haven't heard very much about any of these places. I wouldn't think much of it regarding my information pool.

I don't think most have, really. So where are you from? I mean, you said here, [he gestures to the landscape.] but what would you say to someone who didn't know about it. What's it called?

It's London. Our family home didn't have a name, but we lived on the edge of London. At least until my father was stationed in the American Colonies.

So.. is that Earth?

[Because everyone seems to be from there. Or, well, most.]

[She nods, forgetting that the planet sometimes needed to be added.]

It is hard to believe I'm not on Earth anymore.

[He can empathize at least to a certain extent.]

That.. takes time. I think when you're finally home you'll be surprised you aren't on the barge anymore. It's like that. But at least you can have a bit of home while you're here, right?
